Yet again, thanks to Chuck, I’ve been introduced to Nginx-Proxy-Manager (npm). They conveniently have a docker container available with some super simple instructions. The switchover was that much quicker leveraging the same internal docker network that I’d used for traefik.
Aside from stripping out the labels that traefik used, I needed to update the HOST variables to the names that docker used to identify the various database servers.
thank goodness for dockers’ built-in DNS.
I didn’t have to worry about exposing any ports on my web instances. Nginx is able to do all the necessary routing on the back end.
